All of these ponds empty into Cooper River.
Haddonfield is the site of the largest dinosaur paleontology discoveries in the world. In 1838, gigantic bones were found, and 20 years later, were fully excavated to reveal the first relatively complete set of dinosaur bones. The site, now known as, Hadrosaurus Park, can be found at the end of Maple Ave. Another historic site is the Indian King Tavern on Kings Highway where the first New Jersey Legislature met.
The Haddonfield Public Schools are top rated and offer education to students in Pre-K through high school. The district serves students from Haddonfield, along with those from Pine Valley and Tavistock who attend the district's schools as part of sending/receiving relationships. Elementary schools in Haddonfield include, Central Elementary School (grades K-5), Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School (K-5), and J. Fithian Tatem Elementary School (PreK-5). Once the students past 5th grade, they attend Haddonfield Middle School (6-8). Once they finish junior high, they progress to Haddonfield Memorial High School (9-12).
